Common Model Features

Heavy-Density Polyethylene

AMERI-KAN high-density polyethylene covers are custom-molded with premium quality U.V. stabilizers for flexibility and long life in any climate. The medium grey color (as shown) continues to look clean and pleasant with use, is attractively compatible with different container colors and is always comfortable to the touch in the hot sun.

Baked On Enamel Paint Finishes

Ameri-kan containers are phosphatized and cleaned prior to applying a corrosion-resistant primer then heat dried. The finish coat is industrial quality enamel, baked on at 320 degrees in your choice of standard green or brown, or other special-order colors.

Wrapped Corners

Unique design eliminates butt-welds. Hydraulic lift models have reinforced strike points. Solid trunnion bars are double-gusseted for durability.

Clean Dumping

All containers have wrapped corners and floors that are continuously welded inside and skip welded outside. Tapered design allows a clean dump.

Drain Plug

A unique side design prevents clogging.

"W"-Caster Channels (Optional)

High-Capacity Casters built to AMERI-KAN specifications bolt onto exclusive “w-formed” channels. Caster steel and hardware is zinc plated. Special casters available upon request.

Rear Loading Model Features

Superior Pivot Point

Trunnion bars are coupled with double gussets. Model 401 utilizes a 1 1/2 in. solid bar. Models 601 and 801 use structural tube with solid inserts.

Taper-Formed Siderails

Heavy duty side handles, bridge-welded from outside to a plug weld on the inside panel for massive strength where it’s needed most.

Swing-Away Lid Assembly

The full swing-away lid assembly, standard on all sloped containers, coupled with a tapered design means a clean dump every time. Hinge points are located inside container for maximum safety.

201/301 Rear Pickup

A custom fabricated cable pickup hook is standard on Models 201 and 301. The lower formed gusset spreads stress to the extra heavy rear rail.

Unitized Pickup Bar

Heavy duty rear winch pickup bar is unitized within the rear rail and bridged through the bottom of the rear rail to insure maximum strength and durability on Models 401, 401C, 601, and 801.

Winch Pickup (Optional)

Optional rear winch cable pickup available on Models 100, 150, and 200. Specify factory installed or bolt-on model for field installation.

Front Loading Model Features

Heavy Duty Pockets

Heavy Duty Pockets with the "no step" feature with or without backer plate. Reinforced pocket guides for fast and dependable fork entry.

Rear Lid Panel with Center Crown

Solid, single-piece, rear lid panel with center crown allows water to run off the sides. Heavy duty hinges maintain the structural integrity of the lid rod. Lid stop prevents lid "hang-up" on truck hopper cover.

A-Frame Pickup (Optional)

Optional A-frame pickup with rugged, heavily welded construction insures dependability.

Rear Mount Sliding Door (Optional)

Optional 29" x 32" rear sliding door on model F-800 permits easy loading from the rear.

Steel Spill Lid (Optional)

The high loop spring on the steel spill lid is safely recessed into the heavy front channel for sure closure. Eight (8) 1/4" strap hinges coupled with a full hinge pipe means dependable service.
